Elegant French Art Deco console table in hand-forged wrought iron with richly figured Belgian marble top and base, attributed to master ironworker Raymond Subes (1891–1970). Subes, celebrated as one of the greatest French metalworkers of the 20th century and educated at the École Boulle and École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, created iconic ironwork for prestigious Parisian buildings and legendary ocean liners such as the Normandie and Île‑de‑France.
The console’s graphic double support is formed by pairs of vertical iron bars that loop into bold scrolls at the base, giving the piece a strong architectural rhythm while keeping the silhouette light and open.
