A refined Art Deco low table by Maison Majorelle, featuring an roundl top with a moulded gallery edge and geometric basket-weave parquet marquetry in two tones of rosewood, finished in a rich French polish. The architectural drum base in matching veneer incorporates a recessed circular lower shelf, reflecting Majorelle's transition from fluid Art Nouveau forms toward the cleaner geometry of the Art Deco idiom after the landmark 1925 Paris Exposition Internationale.

Louis Majorelle (1859–1926) trained as a painter in Paris before directing the family cabinetry workshop in Nancy, where he became a leading figure of the École de Nancy alongside Émile Gallé. Celebrated for his mastery of exotic wood marquetry and bronze mounts, his furniture was internationally recognized at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle. Pieces stamped "Majorelle Nancy" are the benchmark for authentication and are actively collected worldwide.
